The Protech 3/8" Liquid Line Filter Drier is designed to absorb any excess moisture in the refrigerant while also removing contaminants including moisture, dirt, acid and solder flux, beads and filings.  The purpose of a refrigerant drier is to ensure the refrigerant system stays clean and dry.
