It is responsible for accurately dispensing the appropriate amount of liquid fabric softener during the rinse cycle to soften and protect clothes.  Causes of a bad fabric softener dispenser can include clogging of the dispenser or dispensing mechanisms from residue buildup, cracks or openings in the plastic housing allowing for leaks, broken or malfunctioning electronic components controlling the dispensing process.
