This water inlet valve is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool washing machines. It replaces a faulty or damaged original inlet valve. The valve attaches water lines to the appliance and opens/closes solenoids to control water flow. Issues like no fill, constant filling, leaks, and no hot/cold water point to a bad inlet valve.
